There service is not all that got my cake order wrong try calling them no onces pick there phone. There custoner service in the shop is nothing to write home about.

Had a delicious birthday cake from here today. They offered to write on it as well. Friendly staff and prices are reasonable.

oreo milkshake bland with no oreos. 13 pound for 3 of them. Disappointed

I regularly use this cake shop. The cakes are the best around. The staff however are a different story. The newer staff aren’t polite at all and just stare and bark at you (possible language barrier) but still it doesn’t feel welcoming. It’s a shame as the cakes are so good.

An AC'ed cake shop on a hot Summer's afternoon as a break on a walk along the Grand Union canal? How could it not be 5 stars? An astonishing range of gateaux, made-to-order celebration cakes and a full linch service. Quite a place. A jewel of the Harrow Road.

If you like cake you really should treat yourself. You know you're worth it.

I have been buying cakes from La Maison du Gateau for over 10 years. The last cake I ordered was beautifully decorated with fruits. The chef is brilliant. The service is very good, the staff are helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend this to everyone wanting to either relax and have a coffee, or to place and order for a cake. La Mason simply the best cake shop in London. I would not go anywhere else. Glennie Bennett.

Friendliest cafe ever. Lovely baked goods, I tried the cookie things which are nice and soft and fluffy. They look so average until you put them in your face !

I had the treat of experiencing one of their bespoke birthday cakes. Gorgeous butterfly shape with delicious cake and icing. So impressive I decided to order my daughter's cake from there as well.

Great coffees and paninis and jacket potatoes and carrot cakes and birthday cakes in fact everything is good so just go here

Very very disappointed with the cake that I purchased here. I requested a chocolate cake with chocolate filling, when the birthday boy cut the cake I noticed it wasn't chocolate it was instead vanilla cake. When I went to the shop to make a complaint about the cake the staff there in particular the lady she was rude and was talking behind by back as if it concerned her. I do NOT reccomend anyone to by the cake here. I payed 65 pounds for a cake that did not come the way that I requested and everything was wrong. Sponge cake was dry, they make mistakes on you order, staff is rude and the chef makes cakes that he thinks is worthy of 65 pounds by just throwing Iceing on top.

A wide selection of delicious cakes and ice creams. Friendly staff and competitively priced with other coffee shops. All cakes are baked on the premises and they also bake a variety of cakes for special occasions. The Faroe Rocher cake is amazing, but make sure you ask for it to be warmed up so that the chocolate starts to melt.

I visited today. The staff were very helpful, patient and polite, the portion was plentiful, the food tasty, ambiance was great and they went over and above my expectations by far. My phone battery went dead and they tried to help me find a charger, but none were suitable, so one of the team went enquiring with the shop next door if they could help. Really great service. Would eat here much more regularly if I lived closely.

Wonderful cake decorating, wonderful taste..

I have been a client for the past 5 years and all my family and friends get the recommendations and many also order their cakes at Maison du Gateau. Staff is friendly and they custom make the cakes according to client's specs. I recommend it over and over again.... they are fantastic!

Bright, clean, VERY warm in the summer. Gets busy at lunchtime and around going home time for a couple of hours. Otherwise staff friendly, food very good, if a little on the pricey side, and atmosphere warm and inviting.
